Developed and approved by NASA for use on the International Space Station the InfectionGard® airProtect unit provides 24 hour air sanitising, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. This clever device was originally developed to solve a mould problem on the space station, where using toxic chemicals to protect the astronauts just wasn’t a possibility. And using existing air filter technology would mean particles and pathogens would build up over time, simply delaying the issue. So they needed a new solution.

The InfectionGard® airProtect unit does not use any moving parts or consumables. Instead, it uses a mixture of techniques to pull the air through the unit and destroy the pathogens in the air continuously, 24 hours per day, without risk to people, plants or animals, with no negative environmental impact. In clinical tests, it has been shown to treat up to 120 litres of air every hour killing up to 99.99% of pathogens, including Covid-19. It is effective against all types of pathogen, meaning even as yet undiscovered microorganisms are likely to pose no risk!

The unit is compact, portable and quiet when running. It is an essential addition to any room helping to reduce airborne contamination to negligible levels. Unlike more expensive and less effective air conditioner ‘filter’ systems, there is no installation cost; no ongoing consumables to pay for and the unit operates at the same power consumption as an LED bulb.
